By using the Service, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable laws.

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data collected through the Service, including data provided by users, collected automatically, or obtained from third parties. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or applications linked from the Service, which are governed by their own privacy policies.   • Usage Data: Information about your interactions with the Service, such as pages viewed, features used (e.g., vehicle comparisons, discussions), time spent, and search queries.
  • Device and Technical Data: Device type, operating system, IP address, browser type, unique device identifiers, and crash data.
  • Location Data: Approximate location (e.g., city-level) based on IP address or precise location (if you enable location services) to provide location-based features (e.g., dealer locations).

User Content you post (e.g., posts, reviews) may appear in search engine results (e.g., Google, Bing), caches, feeds, or third-party websites through co-branding or syndication agreements. Druscilla is not responsible for how third parties index, cache, or remove such content, and it is their responsibility to update or remove it.

7. Your Data Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations (e.g., transaction records).
  • Portability: Request a transferable copy of your data in a structured format.
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing (e.g., marketing emails), though this may limit Service functionality.
  • Grievance Redressal: Raise concerns about data handling with our Data Protection Officer.

8. Account Deletion

To delete your account and associated personal data:

  1. Open the Motorbuff mobile application and log in.
  2. Go to My Account > Profile Settings.
  3. Select Delete Account, agree to the terms, and confirm.

Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data from our database, except for data required for legal or compliance purposes (e.g., transaction records, audit logs). Deletion requests can also be sent to contact@druscilla.com.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and secure servers. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In case of a data breach, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India within 72 hours, as required by the DPDP Act, and take steps to mitigate harm.

10. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is primarily stored and processed in India, in compliance with the DPDP Act. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Service and fulfill our obligations under the Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal requirements (e.g., tax or audit records).
  • Resolve disputes or enforce our rights.

After this period, we will securely delete or anonymize your data. For example, account data is deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request, except for legally required records.

11. International Data Transfers

If you access the Service from outside India, your data may be transferred to India for processing. Any cross-border transfers will comply with the DPDP Act and include safeguards like standard contractual clauses. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers where necessary.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age, as stated in the Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If a minor provides data without parental consent, we will delete it upon discovery. Parents or guardians can contact contact@druscilla.com to request deletion of a minor’s data.

In case of conflict with foreign laws, Indian law prevails, as the Service is primarily intended for users in India.
